I am sitting pretty in your thoughts, Twisting, contorting, as the axioms are wrought. By the time you recognize, the damage will be done, The lights out, script stripped and then the camera sung. Clarity of the DawnFar beyond these empty thoughts cries victims of the moment, We reach, grasp and cling, begging back time we cannot hold, Reminding blurry words spoken softly that childhood escapes, Speak to the kid in us all, 'bout how the sky melts and folds. Yet as we grow, tall and jaded, the magic slowly, quietly dies, In each age, there's a big kid now, knows better than you might, Words are frank, spoken smiling, clearly from the heart, Looking back, the future isn't the dawn, but a moonless night.
